Personal Protection Order denied :(

Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten.

Everyday in the US, more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends.

Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women—more than car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined.

Native Americans are victims of rape or sexual assault at more than double the rate of other racial groups.

Women applying and qualifying for a protection order against a sexual intimate, only half of the women actually received the order.

I filed for a protection order today against a member of this household where I live. If I don't get it tomorrow then I have no idea what is going to happen.

These statistics are part of my homework in the classes I am taking to become a human services professional.

I know that if I get the order then the proverbial shit is gonna hit the fan.
