This is a beautiful piece. It reminds me of stained glass - and in that case, your title is fitting - with the vivid and contrasting colors, thick lines and light-like "reflections" the inside shells cast. The outside colors - gray-blue and a mixed orange, it appears to be - provide a good contrast, though the domination in most of the piece does remove some excitement. The colors themselves are a little too similar to the inside, focused colors. The reflections and scattering of color-focus might be my favorite part: the spiraling focus draws the eyes, and the turned-out black outline lines that mimic an opening flower, while still maintaining the fractal-shell look when you step back. The center, in that case, adds to the effect. In all, I like this piece's details while still maintaining the overall appeal and attractiveness. Definitely in my Favorites.
